Course Description

Discover the joy and excitement of hula hooping in our fun and friendly beginner class. This course is designed to help you learn the basics of hula hooping, improve your coordination, and build a strong core. Hoop dancing is more than a physical activity. With hoop dance, you can boost your creativity, sense of play, and improve your coordination, flexibility, core stability, and balance. It’s also one of the most colourful, supportive, fun, passionate and driven communities out there. Use the code GROUPHOOPERS at checkout. Format: Beginner module lasts for 6 classes. They are Biweekly 1.5hours Classes, Saturdays, 13:30. After 6 classes, you can join an intermediate level, as you wish! Our class will be 1 hour, followed by an optional, 30 min cool off / flow jam in the beautiful studio at Dans Dansen. We will be an intimate group of maximum 12 people, to allow for a focused attention. To start the course, we need a minimum group of 7. Missing some of the classes? No worries! Each class will have a recap, you would be able to practice at home or together when we meet. There's always extra 30 min at the end of the class where we I can help out. Dates: - August 24th - 13:30 - 15:00 - September 7th - 13:30 - 15:00 - September 21st - 13:30 - 15:00 - Break - October 26th - 13:30 - 15:00 - November 9th - 13:30 - 15:00 - November 23rd - 13:30 - 15:00 Class preparation: - All hoops are provided. - No previous knowledge or preparation required. - We will warm-up and build up our flexibility, you don't need to worry about your current state. - Leggings / comfortable clothes are best for a hoop class - Ideally we will be barefoot, depending on how comfortable you are. - Hoop dance is not an intense physical activity, but in the beginning you may find it challenging and sweat quite a bit. Bring a towel! - Bring water - We'll have some tea/coffee in the common area This is an indicative plan, I will adapt it according to the levels in the group: - Session 1: Introduction into dance & waist - Session 2: Lift-ups, Breaks - Session 3: Weaves & Floats - Session 4: Chest to Waist and reverse - Session 5: Dance & Combo - Session 6: Isolations & Combo
